Post-doctoral researcher (m/f/d) – Gastrointestinal Immunology

Full-time or part-time | temporary contract | Department of Internal Medicine II

The research group of Dr. Katrin Böttcher is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join their effort to understand how mucosal-associated T (MAIT) cell activation is regulated through metabolic reprogramming. We aim to decipher how MAIT cells orchestrate local immune responses and to explore their contribution to chronic inflammation and antimicrobial defence in the liver in order to develop novel strategies for therapeutic approaches. To achieve this, we study the relevance of metabolic regulation in MAIT cells from human patients using modern cell biology approaches alongside immunological techniques.
